NDA

The NDA exam, known as the National Defence Academy exam, is a competitive test that takes place in India. It is conducted twice a year, referred to as NDA-I and NDA-II. The initial notification is released in January, followed by a second notification around June. The first exam is held in April, and the second in September. The NDA application form consists of two parts and can be submitted online through the official website http://www.upsconline.nic.in.

Requirements for Nationality:

Eligible candidates must fulfil the following criteria:

  • +  Must be an unmarried male
  • +  Must be a citizen of India

Age, Gender, and Marital Status:

  • +  Only unmarried males between the ages of 16½ and 19½ are eligible to apply for NDA.

Educational Qualifications:

  • +  For the Army: Applicants must have passed the 12th grade examination from a State Education Board or a University, following the 10+2 pattern or its equivalent.
  • +  For the Air Force & Navy: Candidates must have passed the 12th grade examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, following the 10+2 pattern of School Education or its equivalent from a State Education Board or a University.

Note: Candidates appearing in the 12th grade examination under the 12+2 pattern of School Education or its equivalent are also eligible to apply.

Disqualification:

  • +  Individuals who have resigned or been withdrawn from any of the Armed Forces training academies on disciplinary grounds are not eligible to apply.
